I was shopping with my mum the other day, wandering through Debenham’s, praying that someone would put an end to my miserable existence and this evil shopping trip when we came across this stunning display. It was an OMG moment and we both downed our shopping bags and stared at it in wonder. “I want it” I said, not giving any thought of the cost or where I would even wear it. Luckily for me I had my mother on hand to control my urge to hunt a sales assistant down and hand over my card. Normally I wouldn’t appreciate this behaviour as it takes me back to aged 5 in a supermarket, only this time it was my own money she was keeping me from spending and it wasn’t sweets I wanted. Mother did me a favour, but Ssh! don’t tell her that. So, I didn’t buy it, but I thought that it was special enough to write a blog post about it and share it with you.
You can pick this beautiful vintage gem up from Coast for a whopping £125.00 and like the description says; “it oozes vintage glamour” and made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside and develop an uncontrollable urge to rein-act a scene from Grease. I have had a browse online and can see it was featured in instlye, but in black with gold detailing, if they did it in white I would be happy to wear it to my own wedding. Yeah, I might be getting carried away a little, but as a wedding isn’t on the cards to take place any time soon, I can make such statements without having to follow through. I couldn’t find the lace top it was styled with but I think it would work with any lace or plain top. The skirt does all the talking so you don’t need to go crazy with the top or accessories. Do you love or hate this skirt?
