I was really excited to hear that Tanya Burr was launching her own Lip & Nail collection and I am so happy that I finally managed to get my hands on the Little Duck nail polish.
I have followed Tanya through YouTube and her blog for quite some time and can say she truly is an inspiration to all of us bloggers and YouTuber’s. She is basically living the dream we all have and has made a career out of doing something that she loves.
Not only was I excited to try the collection, I was also a little apprehensive. As a follower you have expectations, what if the products weren’t as good as you hoped or thought they would be? Would Tanya let me down? The logical part of me says that she has tried every product going, her recommendations have never once let me down, how can she possibly launch a collection that isn’t any good? Well, I am relieved to say that I’m not disappointed at all, I have only had the opportunity to try the nail polish; Little Duck so far and I can honestly say it is fabulous.
I love the bottle and the design, Tanya’s logo is so cute. The colour is gorgeous and perfect for this time of year and the finish is excellent. If you use a base coat, you can definitely get away with just the one coat. Being in a rush to try it, I forgot to do a base coat and applied two instead. My only advice when using this product would be, don’t overload the brush, the consistency of this polish means you don’t have to use a lot.
Would I buy this product again?
Yes definitely and I can’t wait to get my hands on some of her lip collection; Picnic In The Park. I did order it at the same time but was disappointed to receive an email notifying me that it was out of stock. Shows how popular the collection has been and why I should have bought it when it first launched.
Do I think it is value for money?
Usually I don’t like to go above £5 for a nail polish as I’m such a clutz I end up ruining my nails within hours of application(I paid £5.99 for this at Superdrug), but I have to admit the finish of this product is amazing and kind of justifies the cost to me. I started noticing minor chips by day 3, which is a miracle for my nails and I have being getting loads of compliments on the colour.
