New Foundation- Revlon PhotoReady Foundation

Photo(26)It doesn’t seem that long ago that I claimed to have found my miracle foundation and ended my foundation search, but as the title of this post suggests I have tried another foundation and I am once again in love. Don’t get me wrong, I still love my Rimmel wake me up foundation but as time went on, I found that it wasn’t quite the right shade for me. It is perfect when you are applying it but after 2 minutes or so it seems to set and oxidize and go a darker shade. I was already in the lightest shade so wasn’t sure how to get around it. My brothers wedding was coming up and with my skin not being in the best shape (monster break outs and suffering from a cold), I wanted to get a flawless complexion and make sure that I was photo ready. I think every makeup enthusiast dreads the possibility of flash back occurring and I didn’t want to have to worry about my makeup on the day.

So the day before my brothers wedding, I found myself spending my lunch hour in the makeup aisles of Boots. I had recently seen Tanya Burr use the Revon ColourStay foundation in one of her tutorials so thought I would give that a try but I some how ended up confusing it with the PhotoReady. Perhaps talking on the phone whilst searching wasn’t the best idea but it all turned out great in the end. I don’t think many people would imagine trying a new foundation on the day of an event, without first trying it before hand. Seems like I was just asking for trouble. I had a little test run that evening for my wedding makeup (not even the bride but I was doing my very own makeup trial) and I was pleased with the results.

I can honestly say I have found my perfect shade of foundation. I would even struggle to get that dreaded makeup line. I was a little concerned at first as it did seem very light but, this foundation gives me a flawless coverage, a hint of radiance and works great with my Collection concealer. I applied this foundation at 2pm (late wedding) and did not take it off until midnight and it looked just as good at midnight as it did when I first applied it 10 hours earlier.

So this little gem has taken the place of my Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation for the time being and is my go to foundation

Available at boots for £12.99 (not a bad price) and is currently available to purchase using the 3for2 offer.
