My Current Skincare Routine

This has got to be a special blog moment for me, I have never had or blogged about having a skincare routine and I feel like I am passing some kind of right of passage.

Thanks to Kiehl’s York, I have finally found the answer to a question that has puzzled me for ages – “What skin type are you?”. Turns out I am normal to dry and after a consultation, I now understand what my skin needs and I put together a routine that seems to be working for me. My skin certainly looks and feels better.

My cleanser of choice is the Bee Good Honey & Propolis 2-in-1 Cream Cleanser. I received it in a goodie bag from the fabulous Leeds Xmas meet organised by Rhianna (robowecop) and fell in love after trying it for the first time. It smells delicious and it leaves my skin feeling supple and soft.

After seeing bloggers and YouTuber’s rave about the Origins GinZing for ages, I decided to take the plunge and buy it. I’m so glad that what I heard is true and that this really is a great moisturizer. Again, I am all about the smell and this doesn’t disappoint. I find a little goes a long way and it seems to work perfectly with the rest of my routine.

I picked this Midnight Recovery Concentrate Serum up from Kiehl’s after my consultation with them and it was highly recommended as a way to hydrate my skin. I apply two small drops to moisturised skin before bed and it works into my face while I sleep.

Another product that has come highly recommended is the Pixi Glow Tonic. I love to use this before moisturizing in the morning and it helps refresh and prep my skin for the day.

So that is my little routine. I’m not saying that these products will work for you, but if like me you have normal to dry skin and are on the look out for new products to try, all of these have worked perfectly for me.

  • I’ve used the tonic before, but I need to get another bottle. I only used it at night but i’ll try it in the morning this time. I’ve been wanting to try the Ginzing for a few years and not got round to buying it yet. It smells of oranges doesn’t it? There’s one in the Body Shop that looks similar but Origins is the one I want!

  • I am in LOVE with GinZing, intact anything and everything I have tried over the last 12 months from Origins has been amazing. I’m a big fan of their Nite-a-Mins night cream too, well worth trying once your Kiehls runs out!

I loved the Bee Good cleanser too, I keep meaning to order a new one actually, you just reminded me!
