A few weeks ago I experienced my first ever ladies day, courtesy of Ladbrokes. I was invited to the Ladies Day St Leger meeting with a group of other Leeds bloggers, for a day of fashion, food, drink and not forgetting the horse racing.
My prep for ladies day was quite frantic and I must have tried on over 30 dresses in my quest to find the perfect dress. So two days before I found myself in SimplyBe at 7:30pm desperately trying to decide between two dresses. In the end I decided to go with this pretty dress from the new Sprinkle Of Glitter range.
What do you think? If you googled the word ‘Girly’ I’m sure this dress would come up. Also I do look like a flamingo in this pic, thanks to the awkward pose. Did I mention I hate having my picture taken? I decided to wear flats from George, because to be honest with you, I don’t do too well in heels and when you throw alcohol in to the mix, I might as well sit on the floor all day. The clutch again is from SimplyBe and was paired with the dress on the mannequin in-store. Lucy kindly brought me the pretty pink feathered headband to wear after I realised at the last minute I would feel the odd one out without one.
As soon as we arrived at the racecourse we headed on up to the 2nd floor to spend the day in the Conduit Bistro. We were treated to champagne and a wonderful 3 course meal.
Not only did I get to enjoy a lovely 3 course meal, I got to have a day of race day fashion and catch up with some of my favourite bloggers.
It was an amazing day out and I just wanted to say thank you to Ladbrokes for inviting me. I also can’t write my post without mentioning James, the restaurant manager. I think we were all in love with him and he really made the day.
