WARNING! This is officially the start of Christmas on my blog. I love Christmas and for me the excitement starts in November. I’ve already played the Michael Bublé Christmas album, watched Miracle on 34th street, Home Alone 1 & 2 and as I write this post, I’m watching ELF. What can I say? The sight of Christmas trees and Coca Cola adverts make me all warm & tingly inside. Anyway, Lush!
A few weeks ago the lovely people at Lush kindly invited me to their Christmas event held in their new Leeds store. This gave me the chance to get up to date on all things Lush and explore their fabulous Christmas range.
I have never seen anything like it and this blog post really won’t do Lush credit, as there really are too many things for me to show you and write about. I felt like I was in Santa’s workshop surrounded by all of the beautifully boxed and wrapped goodies. I have picked out a few standout favorites for you.
Yog Nog Soap
Don’t you just love the name? Inspired by the famous Christmas drink, egg nog. This is a lovely creamy soap with the scent of Clove Bud Oil and Ylang Oil, topped with a lovely dusting of Nutmeg and Cocoa Powder. I love this soap and decided that if I was going to buy anything that night, it would be this soap.
It was a toss up between this and Yog Nog and in the end I went with the Yog. This soap is based on Scandinavian rock carvings and as you can see from my pics, it has little reindeer all over it. How festive! This soap smells divine, thanks to the Bergamot & Cypress oil and their best-selling Comforter fragrance.
This Little Dazzler was in the awesome Jingle bells gift set I was presented with at the end of my visit (more on that to come) and is by far my favorite bath bomb of all time. In this you have; Tonka, Ylang Ylang, Lavender Oils and the twilight bath bomb fragrance. I was told that this is a perfect way to relax before bedtime and I have to agree. I tried this out before bed the other night and It was so relaxing.
Showcased by the lovely Lucy (Lucy loves), this is perfect for Christmas. It’s a giant bauble people! Contains; Rose Jam Shower Gel, Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner, Sultana Soap & Helping Hands hand cream.
Is it just me or have beauty advent calendars really taken off this year? Either that or I have been blind all these years. This is a stunner from lush and I am giving serious consideration to buying it. I’m on a diet so a chocolate advent calendar isn’t advisable (that and I just open every door at once). This giant storybook is filled with 12 amazing products from lush.
This was gifted to me in a beautiful canvas bag as I was leaving and it’s beautiful. The box is so colourful and actually has bells on it. You can’t get more festive than that. I actually joked to faith (musicandeyeliner) as we were walking through Leeds after the event, that I sounded just like Santa, as every step I took was accompanied by sleigh bells. You get 6 products (including the Luxury Lush Pud and I’ve enjoyed trying them all.
Now that all the products are out of the way, lets take a moment to to talk about lovely all the staff were and the little treats they laid on for us. Chilled drinks and mini desserts, snowman making stations and product demos. Everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable and what I love about Lush employees is how passionate they are about the products and company.
This was a great event and I can’t wait to get back in Store to get some Christmas gifts for my friends and family, and If I am lucky.. maybe a few bits & pieces for myself 🙂
